![]() In response to overwhelming feedback from its site users, going forward, Martingale will be incorporating the Have-your-cake-and-eat-it strategy into its concept of community-driven auction platforms.
The next generation of Martingale’s community sites like www.ToyCollector.com will include functionality that allows users to create their own autonomous communities on the sites. In this way, as well as participating in the site-run community, users can create groups catering to their own particular interests. They will still be able to take advantage of all the same functionality: forums, blogs, profiles, galleries, videos and all the other site features including, crucially, the selling platforms. Reflecting the high levels of importance web-based groups place on their independence, groups will be able to choose whether to make their group public and open to registration by any site member, or private and open to new members by invitation only. The groups can have their own URL and their own logo. In this way, Martingale’s sites will be the consummate solution to the requirements of any internet group, providing a space for members to meet and communicate with like-minded individuals and trade in safety, secure in the knowledge that the sites’ trading platforms will provide a level of protection for both buyers and sellers that forum-based transactions cannot – but without losing the community feel in the process! |
